BRICE BLANC, TURNING TOP, Winner: “Tyler (Baze) kind of took off on the turn and I didn’t want to move in the middle of the turn, so when he went, I just let him go on. Once I hit the top of the lane she finished up pretty nice for me. She’s a really nice filly. She’s go farther for sure, I think. She doesn’t have a huge acceleration, but she does have a nice turn of foot. I never rode her until I worked her the other morning and she was very impressive.”
SIMON CALLAGHAN, TURNING TOP, Winner: “I always had very high hopes for her in England. If you look back at her form, she basically never ran a bad race on fast turf, particularly going seven-eighths or further. She’s a very progressive filly and I think the big key with her is that she’s going to be going farther. I think she’ll probably get a mile and one-quarter in time. She’s the sort of filly that’s maturing and progressing and she knows where the winning post is.”
