JOEL ROSARIO, SISTER DAWN, Winner: “The game plan was if she broke on top, go to the lead. I tried to stay with the other horse (Holding Her Ground) and keep my position, but save as much as I could for the last part. She was so relaxed on the turn that I thought she’d have something left. It’s pretty much like what she does in the mornings.”
JOHN SADLER, SISTER DAWN, Winner: “This filly’s had some starts and stops and a few seconds along the way, but she’s a nice filly and just getting her form back. We entered her in a turf race Saturday, but it didn’t fill, so we supplemented her (for $1,000) to this one because she was ready to run. She can run on either surface. She’s a late foal and should continue to improve. She has speed, so when she drew toward the inside I wanted her to run out of there. If you’re second fine, but don’t be afraid to go on. We have a lot of options with her but we’d like to get her out around two turns again.”
